A short story based on something I found in my Archive. In the quotes is the original and below is what I turned it to.

He sat on a park bench and fought to keep the winter chills at bay whilst He waited for His lift. Finally many hours after dark a small rusted car pulled into the lane and up onto the curb. A small bird flitted out of life and into His world.

“Get in, Quick” It was a short whispered shout. Then they were gone, driving into the misty darkness and away.

Lucus was bored, it was a Sunday afternoon and the sun was hidden behind a never ending veal of cloud. He got up and walked out of his room and down the hall into a small modern kitchen, selecting carefully he picked out the longest knife he could find and began to make a cheese sandwich, slicing the cheese into wafer thin sides before laying them gently onto the buttered bread and then smothering the whole lot in Salad cream, it was his one downfall he thought. Cheese, of all the things he could care about most.

When the most important task of the day was done it was time to have some fun.

The park was laced with winter snow. A bench sat neatly against the path, resting upon it’s wooden frame was a tall, slim built figure. Dark and hooded – our mysterious man seemed bathed in a gentle glow.

Rubbing his hands together Xiel fought of the winter chills. Waiting for the car to arrive was mundane and ordinary,  it took all his will to stop from bringing a fiery furnace down upon the heads of the morning dog walkers. A small robin landed next to him and looked up. Luckily robin’s have no imagination. For a human to look into those eyes would of brought an eternity of suffering – like looking into the fiery pits of hell – ashen grey and lifeless, a feeling of dread – the pain and suffering of thousands visited upon one. Driven to insanity shortly there after any human or creature of intelligence would of committed mass murder, suicide and finally lain down to suffer a punishment for eternity – reaping on humanities sins.

Luckily for the robin he just fell, stone dead.

“hmmm” Another soul thought Xiel – the small energy release made him sigh with pleasure.

A screech could be heard in the distance and then, thundering around the corner came a jet black Mercedes – driven by a city banker. Pulsing with raw energy came to rest by the park gates. Xial calmly stepped inside.

In another part of town it was time for Lucas to awake. The alarm was calling out like a siren – screeching and tinny from his mobile phone – no snooze button was available and as such could be seen flying across the room. Roughly slapped into oblivion as he fought to raise himself from this stupor.

This is what day dreaming does to you…… (Part 2)

Previously…… Mrs Bonar had a change of heart and became a rock star along with Mr Shipley, and Mr Lloyd. Together they formed “The Teachers” and started a revolution.

It had been a long day and Mr Hufford was just off to take his post 16 maths class.

“Why does it always rain on me” he thought while humming the Eastenders theme tune. It was not often he felt this happy, it most of been that nice Jehova’s witness lady he had invited in for a cup of tea last night.

****** Over in the science block *****

“Is It because I lied when I was 17…?” Wondered Mr Bellamy, as he wandered around school aimlessly hoping against all to catch a pupil roaming the corridors he heard a faint wisper from near reception…..Dum dum dum dum dum , dum dum, it went.

Picking up his pace he neared the source of disturbance and jumped around the corner.

“Aha” he shouted “Caught you out of class…” He drifted off with the realisation

“Mr Bellamy how may I help you at this late hour of the day?” He didn’t seem to pleased anymore.

“I er…well you see…it’s a bit like this you see….well..I…er”

“Spit it out man, we all have places to be”

“I heard a sort of humming sir and thought it might be a student out of class”

“No you fool it was me.” he definetly wern’t happy now. “Gosh can’t a tyrant get some peace round here”

He stormed of humming

“Somewhere over the rainbow”

“Way up high”

“Who said that”

“Who said that”

As our characters argued over who started it and who broke the toy train set they suddenly realised a horrible fact.

“Lets do it” they both agreed. Over in the canteen something strange was going on,

food was on the boil and one of the Dinner Ladies was dragging in another carcass to call the healthy option.

“what it came out the ground right”

As the steam rose all around them they felt perculiar….is it just me or can you see where this story is going.

Anyway as I was saying….

Steam rose around the Dinner ladies and without warning they burst into song “Why does it always rain on me?, even when the sun is shining, I can’t avoid the lightning”

*cue stage effects* and….In slid Mr Hufford on his knees closely followed by Mr Bellamy

“Night fever, Night fever” they screamed, while frantically trying to pull their disco skates on. Lights started flickering everywhere and on top of the table Mr Bellamy had found a turn table.

“Wicked!” he shouted as he began to scratch away

“we know how to do it” Chourused the Dinner Ladies as they stepped into line behind Mr Hufford.

“I’d like to dedicate this next song to Alex Towler who’s seen me throught all the hard times of my life, the only one that ever supported me, My manager.”

The Dinner Ladies feet began to tap. Slowly they turned their backs and with a flick of a wrist they changed..Mr Hufford had replaced his skates for a pair of converses, and his everyday shirt was now a brightly coloured mish-mash of crap, don’t even go into the parachute pants.

Chicka Chicka went Mr Bellamy’s turn table as he began to spin his tunes, cupping his hand over his mouth the beat was started.

“Yo” Shouted Hufford with sudden enfusiasmn, Windows shattered,

“Can’t touch this” He began,

Der der der dum went Mr Bellamy as the Dinner Ladies began to dance grabbing a chair each they moved into their favourite position, the beat went on and Hufford was in full stride rapping away like there’s no tommorow.

“A suped up homeboy from the Oaktown, and I’m known as such”

Hip-Hop had found its way into Huffords heart and nothing was getting it out of him. Not even the Jehova’s witness lady.

The school found it was now down 4 teachers and 1 headmaster. Something had to be done to stop this madness. Music was invading…………

Let there be love Part 1

12 Feb

This is a posting from the Towler.Tk archives. A silly fun set of stories that managed at some point to lose most direction and humour. Still, you live and learn. They still make me laugh – especially the irrelevance of the title. Enjoy – Spelling,Grammar mistakes and all 😀

This is what day dreaming does to you……

The assembly hall was packed, crammed full with 2,000 pupils and not an inch between them.
“Mrs Bonar will take the assembly today, please stand quietly” Miss Gordon stepped away from the podium to the sound of scraping chairs.
The woman strolled into the hall; she looked like a judge with red instead of black and her tailcoat streaming out behind her.
“Please sit” Chairs scraping.
“As I strutted around school yesterday I was disgusted by what I saw.” a metal glint could be seen rising from the podium. She banged the podium with the flat of her hands, Bang, Bang….. The metal object rose higher and a clap could be heard in the distance.
Smoke began to stream in around her feet and she banged again.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
The lights in the hall dimmed.
The object rose into her hand.
And then it all happened.
Simultaneously multi-coloured lights began to swivel around the hall and a spot light spun round to focus on Mrs Bonar.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
Bending low she grabbed the hems of her robe and pulled.
Velcro straps could be heard ripping open.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
As the cloak ripped open, red, gold and pink could be seen, then the cloak was gone revealing a Lycra cat suit. It looked like something out of an 80’s rock video all covered in glitter and sequins.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
“Buddy you’re a boy make a big noise, playin’ in the street gonna be a big man some day” She burst into song.
“You got mud on your face, you big disgrace, kickin’ your can all over the place” Pupils rose throughout the hall and took up the beat.
Everyone was standing now and the hall echoed with….

Microphone in hand she launched into the second verse and threw herself onto the stage.
That was it Mr Shipley had, had enough. He hitched up his trouser, pulled his white socks way over his ankles and broke into a run. Grabbing the guitar that was conveniently in his path, jumped high into the air and launched into a face melting solo, Strumming along besides Mrs Bonar.
“This is what I was born for” He thought “No more teaching for me.”

As the curtain rose Mr Lloyd could be seen descending from the gangplanks. Smile on his face and drumsticks in his hand he started to drum, his hair billowing out behind him.
Bang, Bang, Clap.

The pupils were entranced, nothing like this had ever happened before.
Bang, Bang, Clap.
Shirts were being ripped off and slogans such as “Rock-on” and “e=mc2” could be seen printed across t-shirts throughout the hall.
The music died away and as “The Teachers” left the stage a strange sound could be heard……drifting deep down the corridors and through the French block. Burying deep into the walls and hitchin’ a ride into the history books.

Creating a dream

18 Dec

I used to dream of being an author. But it was more a creation of a goal than a dream. It almost feels like I was writing or trying to write for others. To proof some point that is long forgotten because I know by fact I don’t have the temperament or determination to write anything of significance. I tried, many times, to start something. My most successful piece being an exploration of growing up with Autism, I had structure and direction but I sense it was lost halfway through so I’ve decided to dump it here in this post and forget about it for a few years. Who knows it might help someone, somewhere, with something.

The First Chapter

I suppose that the first chapter should start at the beginning but I also suppose that you never know where to begin when you’re me. I decided to write a little about myself to give an understanding to those that know nothing or very little about Autism and Asperger syndrome.
Well I guess that’s a good starting point, so what is Asperger’ and Autism.

I was told that the first revision of this was to hard to read as I keep jumping, and things. So I scrapped saying what pro’s say and concentrate on how I feel about things.

What I have always known it as is something that affects me to make my mind and how I see everything around me.
With Autism and Asperger syndrome there are many different aspects and traits in a wide and confusing arc of severities. This makes it very difficult to understand and help a child with Asperger Syndrome it just takes honesty and time, after time I have learnt to deal with things but I will always encounter new situations and not understand certain things. It’s life and I’m constantly learning.

The Second Chapter

I hope to talk about the different traits often present with AS, and the way in which I have learnt to deal with my traits. Hopefully you will gather something useful from reading this.

As a child at primary school I found it very hard to socialise with people, I could never understand why I wasn’t liked and I would never know how to behave with people, it’s very difficult growing up not realising that it may be you that is the problem. Now many years later talking with friends I have realised how I behaved and the differences to how I thought I was being. I was always considered scary and weird, and I always believed people were just picking on me, and so I lashed out angrily at everybody.

I could never understand how or what I was doing wrong.

Instead of learning how to make friends I retreated into myself, locked myself in my books and slowly crept into my own head

It’s not all bad, I love reading and am always happy to be by myself and often prefer this, I think very logically and like to work with computers in which I have a natural grasp. Autistic people are said to have a very logical brain pattern and are more often physical learners, they like to be doing and working with there hands. Like with all people I have a special subject, something I can always relate to and consistently work at and use. I can often be heard to go on and on about computers and will always love to be sat with a computer and a screw driver. My mind cannot keep track of one thing unless it is to do with computers; I often tend to go off on a tangent and then end up in a round-about way talking about computers and electronics. It is often very off putting to people, and many autistic people will find it very difficult to make friends or to hold a conversation about something other then their special subject. This coupled with other common traits of Autism can make it very hard on those that live with an autistic person, but do not despair. With time traits will become less obvious, and an autistic person is just as able as any other to learn more about themselves and find ways of coping and dealing with their problems. Once I found a good group of friends who were honest with me and would tell me what I was dong wrong, but accept me for me and help life became a lot easier and with time I began to develop my own techniques for coping.

My love for reading fantasy and science fiction books, such as Sabriel, or Discworld novels started when I was in primary school. Whilst others were out in the playground and having fun I would retreat to the library and read, it was an escape for me. It was exhilarating and I could be in another world, anything could happen and I could let my imagination run wild. I was probably seen outside of school and other places waving my hands around in an odd fashion, but to me my hand was a space ship, or a rocket flying through the air. Blasting away at things. My day dreams about flying being my only concern and often crossing the road without a second look.

I used to love the sensation of floating or being free and would spend hours at a time in the bath with my head under water just floating there and dreaming about life.

My childhood was happy, if I had no friends it did not matter, I was content in being in my own world and ruling the universe with a hand.

Another Chapter

When I moved on to secondary school I found that I had an above average understanding and ability in maths and English, I loved reading and writing, and was always able to pick up even some of the more difficult ideas in maths and algebra. But I still didn’t have any friends and I still could not handle the change of having a supply teacher instead of my regular teacher. This would upset and distress me, I would get annoyed at the teacher and start to misbehave or throw tantrums. It is easier now but even if things aren’t working to a set schedule I still can get upset or frustrated.

Chapter Something or Other

Well that was a short chapter. Ok so where was I, secondary school. Wait I have just remembered something. I love doing puzzles, when I was in nursery I would do puzzles instead of taking naps and was always able to do them very quickly and without any trouble even the more advanced one’s. I am not sure what this says about me but you may understand it. Sorry I had to say that or I would forget

Chocolate Joke

10 Oct

I was browsing my archives of random stuff and found this joke. Which I love. Enjoy 😀

Mr Cadbury met Ms Rowntree in a room on Quality St. It was After Eight, he turned out the light for a bit of Black Magic! he then slipped his hadn into her Snickers & showed her his Curly Wurly. Not keen to have any Jelly Babies she let him take a trip up Bourneville boulevard. She screamed with Turkish Delight! as he took out his Fun sized Mars Bar, it felt a bit Crunchy and she wanted some Time Out, but he did a Twirl and had a Picnic in her Pink Wafers!

The End

Confusions of a Teenage mind.

17 Sep

Apparently I have another blog sitting out their on the internet. I found it this morning. I guess it just goes to show that maybe I really have been battling with writers block for a while now.

6 Sep

This is always one of those controversial subjects – it’s very hard to write about it without sparking extremes. This is not what I was originally going to blog about but that’s for another day. I have been thinking about being a chameleon, my personality and how I seem to have nothing that stands out in the crowd. Continue reading
